Major Rent-To-Own Company Wins with Spectrum

Client’s claim was increased six-fold.

Spectrum increases claim recovery by over 85%, to more than $1 million, after one of our competitors failed to even mount a case for additional settlement funds.

A Spectrum client was acquired while Spectrum was working on their Visa/MasterMoney (Debit) claim. The new parent company had already hired a Spectrum competitor to handle their claim in the same settlement. In the process of continuing work for our major rent-to-own client, we requested data from the new parent company to ensure there was no overlap in claim values. Upon analyzing their information we uncovered data showing that both the parent company and our client were due substantially more money.

When Spectrum’s competitor was confronted with the facts, their reply was that they were “confident that no other company could get them any more money than what they’ve already submitted in their claim.”  The Spectrum team offered to take on the additional work of challenging the claim at no cost. The end result was that Spectrum’s efforts ultimately increased the parent company’s recovery by 85%, to over $1 million.  Additionally, the original client’s claim was increased six-fold, to over $250,000.
